- Hi, my name Junghyun lee working as a Human Resource Secretary as of October 2015.
- Introduce your current duty.
- As one say, from cradle to grave, Human Resource Team is charge of every employee’s first day to the last whilst achieving their work goals. My task is to perform the basic HR task but my main responsibility consists of employee’s salary and employment and training.
- What motivated you to
apply for the relevant duty? - I believe that a constant but small happiness is far more important than a instant but big happiness. Human Resource Team may not be able to provide a big happiness that everyone might remember however we always work from the back to make sure every day of our employees are maintained by fulfilling what they need and what they request on. I felt that it was a blessing to have such valuable opportunity to present anyone with such gift, therefore, I have applied for this job.
- Were there any special
things to prepare before being
employed for this duty? - My major was Chinese and Economics back in my university days, and I did not have a proper opportunity to prepare myself for what I was hired for. At least I hope to provide all the past learning I have gained from working in HR. For those who wishes to continue their skills in HR, a firm knowledge of Labor Standards Act and Labor Affairs Act is extremely helpful. I had much trouble time as I did not own any of this knowledge which coming back to think has eaten up a lot of time that could have been saved. If you could prepare yourself before hand, it will come in handy most definitely. Also, HR interacts between all types of Team and their employees, thus, always consider one’s feeling first. In overall, it is very important to have basic service mind and communication skill to work in HR.
- What was the most memorable
experience in your life
at the company? - I still remember the first time I took in charge of the employee’s salary. Same goes for anyone, the first time can be thrilling and scary. When I was first performing such big responsibility, I felt strong belonging to my Team but at the same time I could not handle the increase of tension and anxiety. The pressure of “No Mistake” was over powering my mind as salary is a driving force for anyone. Upon my first completion in delivering first pay check, I stood still for very long time as if my soul has gone to a different universe. Whenever I recall that day I compared every single number from pay check slip to the number appearing on the computer monitor screen using the tip of my finger, I still flush red with embarrassment. It is not as bad as it was, but the tension somehow never goes away.
- What is ‘Hankuk Paper’ to you?
- Hankuk Paper is a Gift to me. The day I was announced with my employment was so happened to by my birthday. Because of that, I have always felt that this company was a gift from above. A gift that made me a member of society and a dream to create a new version of myself.
- Lastly, please offer a few
words of advice to those
applying for Hankuk Paper. - When someone asks you “Why Hankuk Paper?” and if you believe you can answer in the most perfect way, I believe I would be seeing you in Hankuk Paper. If you have the heart to do something, you will not have any problems at all. Do not think “ I can’t” but think “ I can” and be enthusiastic in your belief and skills. You can do it!
