- Hi, My name is Youbin Jung from Purchase Team and I have first started my job in May 2016.
- Introduce your current duty.
- Purchasing Team is in charge of importing equipment necessary for paper production and my main job is supplementing equipment and facility. Most of the equipment are imported and that’s where my expertise come in place. The purchasing process consists of ordering and importing products after multiple comparison of quotation by different brand. My role is to make sure that the purchase, transportation and custom clearance are completed flawlessly.
- What motivated you to
apply for the relevant duty? - I have always been interested in trading and purchasing that required communication skill and good quality of negotiating was my kind of a job. I have majored in Business Administration and there were many classes such as Marketing, Channel, Finance and Purchase, however Trading was in my best interest. This study has become a great learning in processing purchase in my current Team.
- Were there any special
things to prepare before being
employed for this duty? - I have gained my skill through various outside activities and becoming an ambassador for Foreign Exchange Student program. I have met not only Korean Students but International Student for wider experience in communication. These experience has become a great help in multiple interaction between various customers.
- What was the most memorable
experience in your life
at the company? - Not long after I was hired, I had a chance to visit Onsan Factory for 3 nights 2 day. I had a great opportunity to witness how my purchase was being used in the factory itself. Not forgetting how they were maintained. This also allowed better understanding in my future selection in purchasing.
- What is ‘Hankuk Paper’ to you?
- Hankuk Paper is a Mirror to me. I still remember when Hankuk Paper’s Chairman once said “There needs to be a personal growth in order for the company to grow”. I am continuously trying to grow and improve myself so that my outcome can be reflected like a twin in the mirror to my company.
