Hankuk Paper, took over China’s Specialty Paper business

Established the bridgehead to Asia, expediting aggressive management taking over a company 

 

On December 28th last year, Hankuk Paper have officially taken over the Specialty Paper factory in China, the ‘Kuk-Il Paper Mfg co., ltd’. The Kuk-Il Paper factory in Zhangjiagang, China has been established in 2003 producing over 70,000 tons of specialty paper such as interleaving paper for stainless steel, released paper, Food Paper, Cigarette tip paper and etc. The company is well positioned in the High values added specialty paper market in China and is expected to have high growth potential in the future. 

 

The Revenue of Zhangjiagang factory in China in the year of 2011 was 60million USD and the total number of staffs are 264(12 Koreans). With this take over contract, Hankuk Paper not only gained the Oversea factory, but also expanded the specialty paper business area making preemptive response to slowdown of national printing paper consumption and environmental changes and also established the foundation stone to achieve the long-term vision.

 

It is worth paying attention to Hankuk Paper showing big events recently with the new brand development of miilk and the take over of specialty paper factory in China. This is because the late chairman Dan Sa Cheon has established the company 55 years ago and the current chairman Dan Jae Wan has secured Hankuk Paper with its vision to make Hankuk Paper the best Paper manufacturer.
