Introduce yourself.
My name is Sunggon Kim working as an agent in Electric Control Team since April 2012. I have majored in Electric Electron Control where it teaches varies field such as electrical field, control measurement, communication theory and application. From this major, I was granted a opportunity to work under my current Team.
Introduce your current duty.
Our Team is baes in Onsan Factory where we are in charge of maintain all electric equipment. There are total four section in our Team, and I’m in charge of section three along with employee task assignment. Each section tasks are consists of unexpected accident cases analysis/solution and prevention, investment in equipment, cost processing and construction planning. There are additional tasks such as maintaining equipment such as motor or cooler and other official documentation work.
What motivated you to
apply for the relevant duty?
Ever since I was young, I had enormous interest in fixing things. I would seat down and fix all broken things until they are restored back to usable. So working in a Equipment Maintenance field was felt right for my personality.
Were there any special
things to prepare before being
employed for this duty?
I was as same as the other fresh graduates. I did all that I was suppose to like any others did, such as gaining many certification as possible and participating in different types of contest. Some may say that achieving these Certifications are useless however I beg to differ. The information that you gain through the studies were always helpful in every way. I have gained certification for electrical engineer, work engineer, fire extinguishing facilities engineer, AutoCAD and other more, and all of these knowledge that I have gained as infact become a major reference in performing my task in Electric Control Team. As I love to learn, I’m still continuing additional studies that I find helpful to this Team.
What was the most memorable
experience in your life
at the company?
Ever since I was hired in Hankuk Paper, I had an opportunity to deploy a program specific for an equipment and it was amazing to see that the equipment was moving according to the setup through the program.
What is ‘Hankuk Paper’ to you?
A Forge! A Forge that makes “Sunggon, Kim” more brighter and harder!
Lastly, please offer a few
words of advice to those
applying for Hankuk Paper.
When I was inquiring for a hire in this company, the first question that I had was “Which department would I be assigned to work ?”. In fact, you never get to know if you will get the chance to work in a department that is related to your major. So I believe it’s more important to believe that you will be able to complete any given task rather than getting the job that you want or a task that you want. Be brave! I cheer for you all!
