- Be safe. My name is Hyunwoo lee, assistant manager in Security and Management Team in Onsan Factory. I was first hired in summer of 2012 and have been working under Security management, for this, I believe that the lives of our employee and their safety are the most important summon of mine. As the world rapidly improves in security, I wish to create a people family environment where they can feel safe to create all types of paper that they can dream of.
- Introduce your current duty.
- I am currently in charge of security and fire in Onsan factory. We provide constant rounds to make sure that our employees are not in danger of any sort and that they can concentrate on creating the best quality paper possible. If a potential danger is found, we will immediately gather up for a prevention and solution and provide constant monitoring to maintain and manage any type of emergency possible.
- What motivated you to
apply for the relevant duty?
- I have majored in Health Safety Engineering and dream to become a safety manager. There were many other companies that I could fulfill my dream however my memories of Milk (Carbon paper that I always used back in my schooling days) had always made a good impression of Hankuk Paper and even felt comfortable. Hankuk Paper is a company with transparent conduct with solid substantiality. This was the best motivation to provide the best security service that I could offer.
- Were there any special
things to prepare before being
employed for this duty?
- Due to the nature of the tributary manufacturing industry, I had to prepare many things that could identify the characteristics of the equipment industry. For example, I remember the days I have studied the major risk factors and management measure for Hankuk Papers such as machine safety, noise, chemical safety along with forklifts and cranes to transport finished goods. I have researched on many subjects and cases of company as a reference. And to come out with the best solution that works on Hankuk Paper’s environment. Not to forget that it was a good practice as safety is always an important legal basics.
- What was the most memorable
experience in your life
at the company?
- The most major event was deploying “Safety and Health Management System”. Hankuk Paper had our own safety management and operation by implementing Advanced Safety as a benchmark. For this, in October 2016, we were able to certify with KOHSA/OHSAS 18001 of Safety and Health Management System and for this we were recognized as a establishment with both systemized safety and health.
In addition, we were able to provide a Close Learning Squad Method for Safety to employees which was far more effective than those formal Collective Training method.
- What is ‘Hankuk Paper’ to you?
- Hankuk Paper is like a green meadows to me. It’s my first company and the first place that I could accomplish varies type of task. It’s a farm that I need to protect and prevent from damage though I could be open to danger or have higher possibility to be harmed. Sometimes I might have to try my very best just to break even or even comes with constant disappointment, but it has always been a worthwhile.
